Sheffield United's most successful period came in the early 20th century. They won the FA Cup four times: in 1899, 1902, 1915, and 1925.
They also won their second league title in the 1899-1900 season.
The club's successes during this period solidified their status as a top team in English football.
Post-War Years and Later History:
After World War II, Sheffield United experienced a period of relative stability in the top tiers of English football but did not achieve the same level of success as in the early 20th century.
The club had its moments of success, including reaching the semi-finals of various cup competitions and achieving promotion to the Premier League multiple times.
Recent Years:
Sheffield United experienced a notable period of success in the late 2010s. Under the management of Chris Wilder, the club achieved promotion from League One to the Premier League in consecutive seasons, reaching the Premier League for the 2019-2020 season.
In their first season back in the Premier League, Sheffield United impressed with their organized defensive style and finished in a respectable 9th place.
However, in the subsequent season (2020-2021), the club struggled and was ultimately relegated back to the EFL Championship.
